The land of cold fairytales

None of these pictures capture it, but Cache Valley looked like images from some Peter Jackson production.  Everything was bright green and dramatic.  Sun was peeking through the ever-present clouds and I could almost see fairies sparkling across the hillsides.

The one drawback:  it was cold.  Really, really cold.  Which makes me think that fairytale lands really aren't what they seem.

Oh, it looks gorgeous, but my favorite photo is of your kiddos. They are adorable and I miss them.

we were luck kids, living in such a gorgeous fairy-land of a place. i often find myself staring out mom's bay window at your parents' house, at the merry-go-round and the (now-demolished) sandpile, smiling at memories of "train-rides" and the flooding of the bikini islands and watching kittens and puppies and our imaginations grow.

i'm so grateful your family has such a prevalent mark on my bank of foggy childhood memories.
